front windshield glass
2009 forester X premium package, I got a small chip in the bottom left side of the wind shield, put some krazy glue into it but it didn't work , now its starting to grow. I called to have the glass replaced , they asked me if it is heated or not? How can you tell? I don't see any electrical connections. I could be looking in the wrong place. Where should I be looking?

Do you have heated front seats and heated mirrors? Having heated front seats is obvious with the switches but heated mirrors will have a little symbol etched in the corner showing it's heated. It seems according to cars 101

No all came standard with the all weather package (includes heated windscreen wiper park) so you may or may not have it. It use to be you could see the orange grid under the wipers, that may be the case with the 09 Forester I'm not sure. They started putting the orange grid under the black paint at the bottom to hide it. But if you have the all weather package, heated seats and mirrors it will have a heated windscreen. The windscreen heat works off of the rear heating element circuit I think.
I wondered the same thing on my legacy when I got a crack. But you can see the pics below show that even though you can't see it from outside it's there. There is a small dot on the bottom corner of the windshield where there is no black and the orangeish color of the grid shows through. It's not obvious though.
