Low Voltage Error with AP v1

Low Voltage Error with AP v1
I have a 2004 WRX and i'm having problems with my v1 accessport...
Everytime i try to reflash my ecu with the stage 1 map going from the stock map, it keeps bringing up an error saying that my car's voltage is too low... Alright, the first time i tried it, it was without a charger hooked up. The second time i tried, i hooked my battery up to a charger and was reading at a constant 14 volts and it STILL said i had low voltage.
Would this be because of my battery?
I even disconnected my 150amp fuse that is used for my sound system prior to the install just to make sure that all the power was dedicated to the car only, and not split with my 1500 watt amp. The only other thing that i can think of would be my pioneer avic-d3 that could be drawing power... but that shouldn't be a problem i would think.
Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

Check the cable, my APv1 has a loose connection on the back side of the cable (the part that connects to the bottom of the AP, push on it firmly and make sure its making good contact.)
Did you connect the connector for test mode? (the two green connectors on the driver side under dash on the left hand side)

lol damn, too slow on the uptake...
also searched NAISUCKS for you and a dude had the problem with the test mode connectors attached and used a battery charger and still go the error, so he sent it back.

Or it could be your AP. I had the same error once when trying to flash an ECU with a PERFECT battery, even with a battery tender on it. I had to send the AP to Cobb for them to fix it. I next day aired it and they snail mailed it back to me.
But the problem was fixed so if you are sure your battery is fine, there may be an internal AP problem. I was charged $0 for the fix.

It's either your battery(witch your checked and it's not) or the cable to the AP from your car is bad.
I had the same exact problem....then i pulled the port part of the cable to find that wires were broken.
DO NOT KEEP TRYING. YOU WILL FRY YOUR ECU. It's super easy to fry a 04-05 wrx ecu with a V1

DANG! I didn't think i'd see so many responses to this question. You guys are freakin awesome...

Car Info: 2002 sedan sti swap high on meth
this its either white or blue. you need this plugged in and the green test mode connectors. i had the same problem with my 05 going back to stock. totally forgot to plug the white plug in
